Five Reasons to Stay at Ozbek Cave Stone House in Cappadocia
Cappadocia, in central Turkey, is a landscape like no other: an otherworldly region of soft volcanic rock carved over millennia into spires, chimneys, and vast underground cities. Its unique geology, layered history, and rich cultural heritage make it a compelling destination for travelers interested in nature, history, and adventure.
I searched online and saw positive reviews for this new unique hotel called Ozbek Cave Stone House. The hotel is about $100/night and includes breakfast. Here’s 5 reasons why you should stay at Ozbek Stone House:
1. Unique Cave Stay.
This was one of the unique stays in the area: staying in the cave. The hotel walls are made of stone with cave-like atmosphere. The stone is original and represents the culture of countryside Cappadocia. The thick stone wall has natural noise cancellation where you cannot hear much from the outside. The cave stay provides rustic yet luxury feel.
2. Big Suites
The master suite is the room I booked and it was a large room with sofa, 2 beds, and tv. The bed was large, comfortable, and serene. I usually don’t sleep well in foreign beds on the first night but the master suite bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby on the first night. We had plenty of space for 4 people.
3. Views
This hotel has a rooftop where you can see most of the city. The views from the hotel are immaculate. The hotel is on a hill (yes, you have to walk up and down the hill) but the views are unmatched. It is beautiful to watch sunrise and sunset, and watch the hot air balloons.
4. Location
Located in the centre of the town, Ozbek provides the connivence of close to attractions but fortunately far enough from all the noise and crowd. The property is located at the best location of Goreme Center and is very close to the main shopping area and restaurants, just a walking distance.
5. On site restaurant.
Completing some research, I wanted to make sure there was a on-site restaurant in case we couldn’t decide on food. The restaurant included a lunch bar, sushi bar, and dinner restaurant. Although these meals are not included in your stay, they are reasonable in price. It is good to note that some of the on-site restaurants do not open until evening.
Ozebk Stone House is perfect place to stay while visiting Cappadocia. It is a great place because of location, spacious rooms, unique cave experience, views, and on-site restaurant.
